Dawn M. Gerhart

Is the owner and managing attorney of CINA Nashville, and has practiced immigration law since she graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2003. Prior to law school, Ms. Gerhart graduated with honors from Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska where she held various leadership positions. From 2005 until 2011 she was an attorney with the Tennessee Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence Statewide Immigrant Legal Clinic in Nashville, Tennessee, serving as Managing Attorney from 2009 to 2011. Ms. Gerhart has written for the First, Sixth, and Eighth Circuit Courts of Appeal and the Board of Immigration Appeals. She frequently speaks about immigration law issues and teaches immigration law clinics.

Ms. Gerhart is a recipient of the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services New Advocate of the Year Award in 2007 and served on Davidson County Sheriff’s Immigration Advisory Council. She is also the manager of Tennessee’s Rescue and Restore Coalition to combat human trafficking. Ms Gerhart is admitted to practice before the Executive Office for Immigration Review Immigration Court System, the State Courts of Tennessee, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a Member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Ms. Gerhart is a graduate of the Algonquin Wilderness Leadership Institute and enjoys cycling, travel, and spending time with her family.
