Santa Barbara, California Immigration Law Office:
When I graduated from the Santa Barbara College of Law in 1999 and passed the California bar that same year, I knew that I wanted to practice Immigration Law. I had grown up in Southern California and had learned how to speak Spanish from studying in elementary school, junior high and high school and from interacting with my friends and community. I had traveled through Mexico several times and had studied at the University of Salamanca in Spain. I had a degree in Political Science from University of California, San Diego (1984) and had specialized in US-Mexican Studies. I had worked with Dr. Wayne Cornelius on his immigration/migration study in the San Diego area and had written my honors thesis on land reform policies in Northern Mexico. I had also worked with my mother, Sybil J. Daly for four years in her immigration law office as a paralegal alongside my brother, Jim Daly while attending law school and had landed an internship with the Immigration Legal Assistance Program with the Los Angeles County Bar (1995-1999). I also attended several AILA annual conventions and local meetings while in law school.

The strange thing was, even though I knew I wanted to practice Immigration Law, I felt like it would be a good idea to branch out and try something different. So after passing the California Bar in 1999 I hired on with a Santa Barbara construction law firm and began working in complex civil litigation cases. I was attending depositions with 20 attorneys asking tile manufacturers about the processes used in their product because somebody’s bathroom didn’t turn out the way they wanted. The volume of paper and work expended on these matters seemed to me like a waste of time and energy, so in 2002 I started working as an immigration attorney again in Santa Barbara and founded Immigration and Naturalization Attorneys.

Nashville, Tennessee Immigration Law Office:
In 2004, I moved from Santa Barbara, California to Nashville, Tennessee and founded CINA – the Community of Immigration and Naturalization Attorneys.  I enjoy helping immigrants with their problems, both large and small, and have designed services that meet their wide range of needs. For eight years I built a reputation for exceptional customer service, great results and high value in the Nashville community. I practiced before the USCIS, USICE, Immigration Court/Executive Office of Immigration Review and U.S. Embassies and Consulates across the globe.

In December of 2012 I passed on the CINA office in Nashville to a to Dawn Gerhart, a committed advocate for immigrants, victims and refugees.

Renée Taylor, Background:  President and Managing Attorney

Atlanta, Georgia Law Office 

Initially when I started working professionally, I worked in the insurance industry. I spent over 10 years working for insurance companies. I also own insurance agency and worked was a licensed insurance agent for 13 years. In 2013, I obtained a premier professional designation in Insurance as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.  Prior to going to law school, I obtain two master’s degree from Keller Graduate School of Management.  During law school I did two semesters as an extern at a Personal Injury Law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. When I graduated from Atlanta John Marshall Law School in 2020 and passed the Georgia State Bar 2022, I wanted to use my 20 years of insurance industry experience to help injured clients get justice and compensation from insurance companies.  Based on my experience as a Claim Specialist, Insurance Agent, and Underwriter I was able to get results for my client as a Personal Injury Attorney.  During my distinguished career I gained valuable experience and knowledge that has allowed me to successfully make the transition to practice of immigration law.

As a high school student, I studied Spanish and became conversational fluent.  Over the years, in positions I held I have used my knowledge of Spanish to speak to my clients in Spanish.  I enjoyed speaking Spanish with my clients.  My first experience with how coming to United States can change your life was when my Au pairs came to the United States to take care of my daughters. I enjoyed learning Spanish from my Au pairs and helping my Au pairs learn English.  The J-1 cultural exchange program helped me provide necessary childcare for me to attend law school with two young children.  The experience of coming to United States changed their lives as well.  After practicing law for a few years, I realized that I wanted to transition to being an advocate and helping professional come to work in the United States, helping legal permanent residents and immigrants naturalize. 

I am very passionate about helping clients navigate US immigration system. As an Attorney, I am a zealous advocate for my client and strive starting with providing my client with a detailed explanation on the immigration process. Additionally, I will discuss the possible alternatives available to the client before I start to work on the case. I have a commitment to helping my client stay in the United States and gain a sense of stability, security, peace of mind, and peace of mind. I am an active member of American Immigration Lawyer Association (AILA).

Denver Colorado Immigration Law Office:
I started Pro Forma Immigration Attorneys in 2012 in Denver, Colorado. The address for the main Pro Forma office is 1580 Logan St, 6th Floor, Denver, CO 80203. In 2025 I became co-counsel after transferring ownership of PFIA to Renée Taylor, an attorney licensed in Georgia and allowed to practice immigration law in all 50 states. Renée brings her extensive background in business litigation and consumer advocacy to her immigration work. She also brings her academic credentials, having earned a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

From these offices we can make appearances and help people at Embassies all over the world, and at USCIS, Immigration Court and Immigration Detention Centers in Denver and across the United States.

Santa Fe, New Mexico Law Office:

In 2020 I founded Pro Forma Immigration Attorneys in Santa Fe, New Mexico to serve that community and the Albuquerque USCIS office and detention centers. This location is now owned by Renee Taylor, Esq.

Atlanta, Georgia Law Office

Renée Taylor is planning to open another Pro Forma Immigration Attorneys law office in Atlanta, GA to assist immigrants with their families, business and detention and removal needs.

Immigration Video Tutorials:
Every year millions of immigrants prepare and file their own forms. In 2007 I posted free videos on how to prepare adjustment of status applications for marriage based immigration cases. As of this date our channel PRO FORMA IMMIGRATION ATTORNEYS has more than 1,000,000 views and more than 3,000 subscribers.

Immigration Form and Document Review:
Hundreds of people call who have difficulty preparing their forms and need an immigration attorney to review their petitions and applications to the USCIS and Department of State. For this reason PFIA now provides Immigration Form and  Document Review to review and revise immigration paperwork for people who want to do it on their own and just need to feel comfortable sending in their paperwork. We schedule 2 hours – the first session is 90 minutes and the follow up session is 30 minutes.
